Located in quite neighborhood of Jaynagar, at a 7 min walking distance from South End Metro station, this place was suggested to me by a friend who talked highly about it. Curiosity brought me here and I was greeted by a huge crowd at this place. Initially became a bit hesitant thinking it'll take a lot of time but saw the service is too fast and the way staff handles the crowd is amazing! They hardly let the rush moving while keeping the atmosphere lively. Coming to food, I ordered: 1) Idli Vada: The idli was so soft that it literally melted in my mouth. Any person with dental issue can easily gorge on this dish while the Vada was crisp as it should be! They serve it with coconut chutney which was outstanding. I did feel a dash of mint, ginger in there which elevated it's taste to a huge extent. The idli vada dipped in the pool of chutney simply put me in food coma! 2) Plain Dosa: The name though suggests plain dosa, it was benne plain dosa. Initially, I didn't plan to have this but having seen other people stand in a line for this I fell for the peer pressure and glad I did it. The dosa was crispy, never ever I have had such dosa before. Properly crisp on the outside and soft inside with right amount of butter, that's benne dosa for you! The green coconut chutney served with this was different to the one served with idli, here it was a little dry which went well with dosa. 3) Filter coffee: Finishing off your breakfast without filter coffee is undoubtedly a sin! The amount of coffee and milk was perfect and the server managed to get the right amount of froth. The taste was good though I would like to try it bit strong whenever I visit next! To sum up, I found myself in heaven and this was the best idli, vada and dosa I have ever had in my life. Definitely gonna visit this place soon and try out other items as well! As for Bengaluru.. this definitely seems like the breakfast capital of India!

This was the best mangaluru bhaji I've ever had. The idli was incredibly soft and delicious. The vada was also crispy and flavorful. Overall, a fantastic experience!

I got to know about 'Bengaluru Cafe' from Kripal Amanna's Food Lovers TV. My experience tells me that Kripal does an excellent job with the breakfast places. So, my partner and I decided to visit the humble eatery. Also, the fact that there are more than 13K reviews on the place added to our excitement. One of my PhD scholars decided to join us for the culinary rendezvous. We visited the place yesterday (Saturday - May 24, 2025). At the cafe, we ordered three (3) plates of Butter Masala Dosa, one (1) plate of Idly (1), one (1) plate of Vada, one (1) plate of Khara Bath, and one (1) plate of Jamoon. Let me say with some confidence that the experience was heavenly. All the items were unbelievably tasty. I would go to the extent of saying that Butter Masala Dosa remains the best that I have tasted in my life. The service is extremely fast, and the approach of the staff is cordial. Most importantly, the food is extremely economical thus making it an ideal place for students. Anyone who comes to Bengaluru must visit this place without fail. Fantastic work folks! We shall be back to this place sooner than usual.

This was suggested by one of our family members and the praise was apt! Delicious dosas, medu vada, pineapple kesari, puliogere rice items. Killer filter coffee! A must visit if you are in or around Jayanagar.

This cozy place in Jayanagar serves really delicious breakfast. The menu is limited, but every item tastes amazing and the prices are very reasonable. The place does get quite crowded, but it’s definitely worth a visit!

The idli and vada were heavenly! I don't know they make it so delicious. Chutney was mind-blowingly good. Dosa great as well. Go here for breakfast, you will not regret it.

Very tasty food. Open fast food self service only. Cost effective and very tasty food. Idly vada.. Mangalore bonda ..rice varieties coffee everything is good. Must try. Chutney is the main side dish for all tiffin.

It's a darshini, only one bench available for sitting else standing only. Very heavily crowded. But worth the visit. Very crispy & tasty Masala Dosa, Khara Bhath (dill leaves -sopsige soppu & hyacinth bean - avarekaalu). Uddina vada was very crispy & served with chutney. Worth the visit

The OG place for masala dosa! my God, it was amazing! The butter on top was a match made in heaven. Idli was very good, Vada was amazing, but chutney and coffee stole the show. I highly recommend this place for a true South Indian breakfast experience.

Great dosas here—one of the best I've tried, super crispy with awesome flavor. The vadas were just as good, perfectly crunchy. Everything else we had was tasty too. Place was crowded but service was quick, and prices are really fair for the quality. 5 stars!
